Frequently Asked Questions

Is your packing to a high standard?

We have been packing figurines for over 12 years and from experience can immediately identify fragile products. We pack them with plenty of quality packing material, and place them inside double walled stronger boxes. Thankfully our breakage rates are less than 0.1% (for 2023)

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

We are currently working on it. In the meantime there are some very good "Forwarding Companies" who can forward your order from a UK address to many places around the world. (e.g. AddressPal, Forward2me, Reship and many more - use of such services is at customer's own risk, and if a return is wished, customer is responsible for costs incurred.)

Do you have branding on the parcel? eg surprise gifts

Our parcels do not have any shop name or branding.

What is cold cast Bronze?

Cold cast items are solid figurines made using a relatively new technique involving resin and bronze powder. It is more popular these days due to the greater level of detail allowed and the more manageable weight (a 10kg bronze figurine would be about 3-4kg in solid cold cast). Also it allows for larger figurines and more affordable prices. Some include artist info cards.

What is Foundry Bronze?

These figurines are made from bronze metal. Many of our figurines are made using the traditional "lost wax" process. This method allows the capture and reproduction of the original sculpture in all its detail and beauty. Then to enhance the piece, a patina can be added. The end result is a heavy ornament that will last the test of time and can be passed down from generation to generation. They often include limited edition certificates.

Why is Bronze so popular for Statues and Figurines?

It's an excellent choice due to its strength, durability and for the lustrous polish. Also great for the fine details allowed in sculpture.

What's the best way to ensure my bronze sculpture stays in top condition?

On the odd occasion it's beneficial to polish the piece with a soft cloth and a wax based furniture polish. Do not use abrasive materials or polishes.
